You've been a warmth to me when I needed one the most. Talking to you made the hard days feel lighter.

You started checking on me for no selfish reason at all. You didn't need anything from me. You just cared whether I was okay, and almost nobody does that. I never forgot it, and I never will.

You motivated me to work hard for my goals, and you pushed me when I wanted to give up. Every step I take toward them has a little bit of you in it.

I know you don't always see yourself the way I do. You think you're not that pretty, and that your anger makes you hard to love.
